The heart of this load is the bullet, an Elite Hunter 217-grain projectile optimized for long-range hunting use. It boasts a hybrid ogive profile that offers a G1 BC of 0.702 (G7 BC of 0.347), so it is highly efficient, retaining its velocity and bucking wind drift. This projectile requires a twist rate of 1:10 or faster. Berger advertises a muzzle velocity of 2,400 FPS from a 24-inch barrel. At that velocity, it retains over 2,500 foot pounds of kinetic energy past 300 yards.
The MSRP is $83.99 for a box of twenty rounds. Berger also offers ammo options for the 6mm Creedmoor, 6.5 Creedmoor, and .338 Lapua Magnum with Elite Hunter bullets.

Featuring Berger’s hybrid ogive design, the Elite Hunter optimizes efficiency, reduces wind drift, and enhances long range consistency. Its ultrahigh ballistic coefficient (BC = 0.695) and increased sectional density provide outstanding downrange accuracy and impact performance.”
