HK’s MR308 has always been the civilian face of the HK417 bloodline, a .308 Winchester semi-automatic built to the same exacting standards as its military sibling, with cold-hammer-forged barrels, ambidextrous controls, and that characteristically HK feeling of nothing being left to chance. Where the G28 is Germany’s designated marksman rifle, the MR308 is where that DNA reaches the sport and hunting market.
The side-charging MR308 A6 was first shown at EnforceTac 2024, finished in RAL 7005 mouse grey Cerakote, and presented as a Designated Marksman Rifle configuration.
This version has still not made it to the product pages yet. This is exactly the kind of thing you come to EnforceTac to see, and here we share it with you.
The side-charging handle has a few benefits and some drawbacks.
Sitting on top is a Schmidt & Bender riflescope, widely regarded as one of the best pairings for an AR-pattern rifle of this class. A rifle built for precision work, wearing glass to match.
