Polite Society Industries has launched six suppressors across four families. The lineup runs from a 3-ounce rimfire can to dedicated 5.56 and 7.62 models and a multi-caliber option. MSRP ranges from $250 to $750. Every model is made by laser powder bed fusion, better known as metal 3D printing. Polite Society prints each suppressor as one continuous piece instead of assembling a tube and separate baffles. That permits internal shapes that would be difficult to machine conventionally.
Six models at a glance
The Temperance .22 is a 4-inch titanium suppressor weighing 3 ounces. It uses 1/2×28 direct threads and is rated for .22 LR, .22 Magnum, 5.7x28mm, and .223 Remington from a bolt-action rifle. MSRP is $250.
The Fortitude 5.56 HD and Fortitude 5.56 Ti are both 5 inches long and use a 1.375×24 HUB rear interface. The $600 Inconel model weighs 11.5 ounces; the same-price titanium model weighs 6.4 ounces. Both ship with a 1/2×28 direct-thread mount incorporating a flash hider.
The same choice applies to the $650 Verdict 7.62 HD and Verdict 7.62 Ti. Both are 6.41 inches long and rated for cartridges including .308 Winchester/7.62 NATO, 6.5 Creedmoor, .300 Blackout, and .300 Winchester Magnum. The Inconel version weighs 15.4 ounces, while the titanium model weighs 8.33 ounces.
Finally, the $750 Huckleberry is a 6.5-inch titanium suppressor weighing 8.6 ounces. It uses interchangeable .22-, .30-, and .36-caliber endcaps and ships with a .36-caliber endcap plus 1/2×28 and 5/8×24 mounts. The product page does not specify a recoil booster for tilting-barrel pistols, so buyers should confirm host compatibility with the manufacturer.
Claims still need testing
Polite Society calls its centerfire design Tripass Core Technology. The company says gas travels through the bore and two helical bypass channels into three expansion chambers, reducing gas sent back toward the action.
That is a manufacturer claim. Polite Society has not published standardized sound-pressure data, independent backpressure measurements, minimum barrel lengths, firing schedules, or detailed cleaning instructions. Those omissions make it difficult to judge durability and real-world performance from the product pages alone. The one-piece Temperance raises a particular cleaning question because rimfire suppressors accumulate lead and carbon.
Polite Society sells through dealers and provides a transferable warranty for defects, with exclusions that include baffle strikes, modification, and neglect. The federal making and transfer tax for most NFA firearms is now $0, but buyers should verify current federal, state, and local transfer requirements. Suppressors do not make every firearm hearing safe, so use hearing protection and confirm bore alignment before firing.
The prices and low titanium weights should get attention. Independent testing will tell us whether the performance deserves it.
