The HX-Ti³ is Hausken’s latest suppressor, developed for hunters and shooters prioritising low weight, strength, and reliable field performance. It represents the company’s answer to a growing demand: suppressors that don’t just silence, but become a seamless part of the rifle system without the bulk.
The HX-Ti³ is made in Norway and not available on the American market, as European suppressors are subject to strict export regulations. But it offers an interesting look at where suppressor design is heading. In many European countries, particularly in the Nordic countries, suppressors are encouraged or even required for hunting as a matter of noise courtesy and hearing protection.
Over the years, the market for silencers has evolved considerably. Where suppression figures once dominated the conversation, today’s buyers also weigh up overall length, weight, material durability, and how a suppressor affects a rifle’s balance and handling. This is a point particularly relevant for hunters using their equipment across varying field conditions.
The defining feature of the HX-Ti³ is its construction. The suppressor is manufactured entirely from titanium using a 3D printing process (additive manufacturing). The company states this delivers exceptional strength alongside a rugged, tactical appearance, with titanium’s inherent resistance to wear, corrosion, and harsh conditions, meaning virtually no maintenance is required over time. This is not a hybrid or partial titanium build. According to the manufacturer, every structural element is 3D-printed in titanium.
Per the manufacturer’s specifications, the HX-Ti³ measures 184 mm in total length with a 45 mm diameter, and uses an over-barrel (telescopic) mounting design. Hausken states that the suppressor telescopes 84 mm back over the barrel, with a forward extension of just 100 mm beyond the muzzle, keeping total rifle length manageable even on shorter-barrelled hunting rifles. Hausken claims this geometry delivers excellent balance and minimal shift in handling, whether stalking through dense terrain or shooting from a static position at the range. At a stated weight of 235 grams, the HX-Ti³ is positioned as adding very little practical mass to a hunting setup.
According to Hausken, the HX-Ti³ achieves up to 30 dB of sound reduction across calibres from .22 to 8 mm, including magnum loads. The internal geometry is said to ensure consistent, repeatable performance shot after shot. Beyond noise reduction, the manufacturer also claims the HX-Ti³ reduces recoil and muzzle movement. These are manufacturer assertions and, as with all suppressor performance figures, results will vary depending on calibre, barrel length, and ammunition used.
The HX-Ti³ is available in several calibre-specific versions: 5.70 mm (.22/.223/5.56), 7.25 mm (6 mm and 7 mm), 7.85 mm (.30/.300/.308), 8.25 mm (8 mm S), and 8.65 mm (.338). All versions are offered in Graphite Black and FDE. The suggested retail price is approximately €990, varying by retailer and country.
