Some firearms are built to disappear into holsters and hard used. Others are built to be looked at first, and then fired. The Chiappa Rhino Elite 60DS sits somewhere in between. Limited to just 44 pieces, this 2026 Elite variant takes the already unconventional Rhino platform and pushes it into unfamiliar territory.
Each revolver carries a distinct, graphic-style finish, paired with a matching presentation case. No two are exactly alike, and that seems to be the point. This is probably the first yellow trigger I’ve seen.
Underneath the finish, the mechanics remain intact. The Rhino’s low bore axis, firing from the bottom chamber, is still there. This is a design choice intended to reduce muzzle rise, and it works.
The Elite version builds on that with a tuned double-action/single-action trigger, reportedly lighter and cleaner than standard models.
Chambered in .44 Magnum with a 6-inch barrel, it’s not a small revolver, and not a subtle one either. The question becomes less about what it is and more about what you’d do with it.
The price is €4,800.
Display it, shoot it, or both? This is similar to BMW’s Art Cars. Drive them, set track records, or just display them? What would you do?
