Women showed subtler hormonal shifts, mainly higher sex hormone binding globulin and lower free androgen measures. The effects were not as strong as those seen in men, but they were still statistically significant and point to coffee having some influence on endocrine function in women as well.

Overall, this Finnish study highlights how multifaceted coffee’s relationship with human health really is.
