SIDNEY, Neb. (Aug. 13, 2026) — Meindl USA, the North American designer and provider of Meindl’s premium footwear for outdoor adventure, today announced it has expanded its Comfort Fit lineup of footwear with three new Comfort Fit PRO models.
The new PRO styles are engineered as updates to the popular Comfort Fit Hunter and Comfort Fit Hiker platforms. The PRO designation incorporates waxed full-grain nubuck leather uppers and full rubber rands in place of unwaxed leather and partial rands. The new designs provide added durability and protection to resist weather, stand up to brush and rocks, and withstand wear season after season.
Meindl’s proprietary Comfort Fit Technology is the foundation of all three models. Offering a wider, more accommodating toe box and added width at the ball of the foot, the anatomically correct Comfort Fit Last works with the natural shape of the foot to create a straighter alignment of the big toe. This increases stability and comfort while reducing pressure points.
“Comfort Fit Technology changed the way a lot of people think about boot fit, and models in that lineup have been some of our most popular boots for several years,” said Phil Francone, Founder and President at Meindl USA. “These new PRO models take the lineup to new heights by delivering added protection and durability without sacrificing comfort. With these additions, we’re confident customers can find a Comfort Fit style to fit any adventure.”
The Comfort Fit PRO models are handcrafted in Germany, blending Meindl’s centuries of knowledge and craftsmanship with premium components and proprietary technologies. The new offering includes:
Comfort Fit PRO Hiker
Now constructed with waxed full-grain nubuck leather and a full rubber rand, the Comfort Fit PRO Hiker is a tougher, more durable hiking and early-season hunting boot built for off-trail miles in demanding terrain. It offers the benefits of the Comfort Fit Last while Meindl’s DiGAfix lacing system wraps the upper of the boots around the instep to lock the heel in place without creating pressure points. A GORE-TEX lining keeps feet dry, the Meindl Comfort Fit cork insoles deliver added comfort and the Vibram outsole provides dependable traction on mixed surfaces. At 7.25 inches tall, it features a medium B flex-use rating. ($380)
Comfort Fit PRO Hunter Uninsulated
At 9.25 inches with a medium-stiff B/C flex-use rating, the Comfort Fit PRO Hunter Uninsulated is an all-terrain, all-season hunting boot for deer, elk and upland hunters who cover diverse country. The waxed full-grain nubuck upper and full rubber rand increase durability and weather resistance to stand up to day-in, day-out abuse. A GORE-TEX lining handles wet grass, rain and creek crossings, the Vibram outsole delivers grip across unpredictable terrain, and the Comfort Fit Last with DiGAfix lacing ensures a comfortable and secure fit. ($400)
Comfort Fit PRO Hunter 300
The insulated counterpart to the PRO Hunter Uninsulated is built for cold-weather deer, elk and upland hunters who need warmth without giving up all-terrain performance. It shares the same waxed full-grain nubuck upper, full rubber rand, GORE-TEX lining, DiGAfix lacing, Vibram outsole and Comfort Fit Last, with GORE Air Fibre insulation added to deliver reliable warmth with minimal weight or bulk. At 9.25 inches with a medium-stiff B/C flex-use rating, it’s ready for the toughest, coldest days of the season. ($420)
